Bocoy Cattle
Our Story
Bocoy Cattle began in the lands of Cuba in the early 1900’s where "Abuelo Blanco” began his empire of Bocoy Rum, Cattle and Real-Estate. Abuelo Blanco taught his son Ramon Blanco everything about business, family, life and of course cattle. Shortly, after Ramon married his Wife, Angelina, they welcomed a daughter, Elena. However, they had to flee Cuba as the communist party began to overtake the government. Abuelo Blanco stayed behind in Cuba only to have everything taken away from him by the government shortly after.
Ramon and Angelina struggled, but they raised children and became loving grandparents to their granddaughter, Audrie. Their influence would spark the retaking of the name “Bocoy.” The Cuban Dictator might have taken the properties, the Bocoy Rum Factory, the cattle and so much more from the Blanco Family, but in 2003 Bocoy Stables was established taking back the name “Bocoy" for the Blanco family and in 2010, Elena’s husband Mike helped create Bocoy Ranches, INC. Bocoy Stables begun as a small horse boarding property in SW Ranches, FL and exploded into one of the busiest horse sales, boarding, and training facilities in Loxahatchee/Wellington, FL for over 15 years.
In late 2020 Bocoy relocated to Ocala, FL explanding their horse division into Bocoy Reproduction & Foaling Center and then expanding again in 2022 into Bocoy Training Center.
However, in a very emotional expansion in mid 2021 Bocoy got to honor Abuelo Blanco, Ramon “Papa” and Angelina “Neni” and officially establish Bocoy Cattle.
We here at Bocoy Cattle take the lessons learned throughout the generations to raise beautiful breeding and show stock that are bred, raised and cared for with the passion instilled in us by our legacies.
This one is for you Papa & Neni
